Crickets and Toothbrushes

Well. . . I have told everyone (and firmly decided) that I would only use this blog to show pictures of Bloomington, but I have decided to change my mind this once. This is a picture that I took today, and it definately needs an explanation. I moved in on Thursday, and on Thursday night, much to my chagrin), learned of the problem. Crickets. There are SO many. They are everywhere it seems, and mostly in the bathroom. In the DARK. I have thought of this problem pretty much non-stop since Thursday. I have debated about how to approach the situation. I cannot kill a cricket any more than any other bug. In fact, the only bugs that I do kill are flies, and with a guilty conscience for sure. So, my problem will not be solved by simply smooshing the poor little things. I can't really ignore them because they are everywhere. They don't sing and they don't even take up very much space, so. . . I have made my decision. I will leave them alone as long as they leave me alone. In saying this, I must clarify by showing another picture: the toothbrush holder. If those itty-bitty-little-kind-of-gross-but-a-little-cute crickets stay outside of my toothbrush holder, then I will not murder them.

Well, I will have more pictures later but I am finished for now. Adios!
